Chania, Crete is a city that hosts a dynamic hub of particularly active architects and engineers. Creating a corporate identity, finding the right name and presenting it in a manner that represents the office’s work ethic and values was our assignment for this project.

Among various names that were presented, plinth hit the mark for our clients. We were unequivocal about going for a minimal, monolithic design that would appropriately represent the scope and work of the architectural/construction office. For the logo we used a geometric font which visualizes the nature of the work, the solidity in structure and the contemporary approach in design. As to the corporate identity (business cards and letterheads) we used a strict outline flushed with other typographic elements as well as 3D volumes in printing to give out status and texture.

As old-fashioned as it may seem, a business card is still the physical, brand carrier outside the business and it is a miniature representative of your brand identity. Being memorable is important. And memorable is what we are going for.
